Little Italy San Diego CA
Historically home to Italian Fishermen and their families, many who came here from San Francisco after the devastating 1906 earthquake there. The area went into a severe decline during the 1970s when the Interstate 5 was constructed destroying 35% of the neighbourhood. It is now a very popular area.
One example of the public art displays in Little Italy. This one can be found on the corner of Juniper and India, and was created by Dawn Wagner, a chalk artist.
This is really beautiful! 🙂
It is isn’t it. A very talented artist.
