About Urbanicity

I have set up this photoblog to catalogue my many urban photos which include unusual buildings or impressive architecture from around the world. It may be modern or ancient just as long as I find it interesting. There will be images of what I call ‘urban fragments’ which include photos of architectural details and ephemera: bits of carving and moulding, doors and windows, peeling paint, rusty metal, old brickwork, decaying wood, graffiti, signs, murals, urban art, billboards. It is in no particular order of place or date, though sometimes I may group certain photographs together.

There will not be images of people or street scenes – for those you might like to view my other photoblog Postcards from around the world…
